Summer in the UK may be on its way out, but it hasn't finished quite yet, and I couldn't let it go without mentioning one of my favourite things to throw on when the sun shines through- a floral maxi. Floaty, ethereal and (most importantly!) comfortable, they are a fab option for a summer's day.
I think it's so important to have things in your wardrobe that make you feel amazing, and for me this is definitely one of them. Dresses may not be for everyone, but I find that when I'm choosing what to wear they are my go-to and a no-brainer, as you have a whole outfit in one item.
When it comes to summer dresses, I'm afraid I can't count the number of floral pieces that I own (I know- groundbreaking!), but that's because I honestly just love a flower print, and they bring me a lot of joy every time I put them on. They say that all trends come back around, but I don't think that florals have ever really gone away!
Now I know that a maxi length can be tricky, (at 5ft 4 most things tend to be a bit too long for me!), which is why I've tended to steer clear of long dresses in the past. However, whilst they can be impractical, my love for the 60s and 70s has pushed me to persevere, and once I found a maxi dress that was right for me I haven't looked back.
So, if a floral maxi sounds up your street, and you fancy feeling fabulous whilst summer is still with us, why not give it a go?
